These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Sunshine Child-Care Nursery ("we," "us," "our") and parents/guardians ("you," "your") regarding the enrollment and care of children at our nursery. By enrolling your child, you agree to these terms.

1. Enrollment and Registration

  • Enrollment is subject to availability and our admission criteria
  • A completed enrollment form and required documentation must be submitted
  • We reserve the right to refuse enrollment if we cannot meet a child's needs
  • All information provided must be accurate and up-to-date

2. Fees and Payment

  • Fees are payable in advance, typically monthly or termly
  • Payment methods include bank transfer, direct debit, or card payment
  • Late payment may result in additional charges or suspension of services
  • Fees are non-refundable for absences due to illness, holidays, or other reasons
  • We reserve the right to review and adjust fees with reasonable notice

3. Attendance and Absences

  • Regular attendance is expected unless your child is unwell
  • Please notify us of absences as soon as possible
  • Children with infectious illnesses must not attend until fully recovered
  • Extended absences (over 4 weeks) may require re-enrollment

4. Health and Medical

  • All medical information, allergies, and dietary requirements must be disclosed
  • We require up-to-date immunization records
  • Emergency contact details must be current and accessible
  • We will administer medication only with written consent and clear instructions
  • In emergencies, we will seek medical assistance and contact you immediately

5. Collection and Authorized Persons

  • Children will only be released to authorized persons listed on the enrollment form
  • Photo ID may be required for collection by unfamiliar persons
  • Late collection may incur additional charges
  • If a child is not collected, we will follow our uncollected child procedure

6. Behavior and Discipline

  • We promote positive behavior through encouragement and clear boundaries
  • Persistent challenging behavior may require a meeting to discuss support strategies
  • In extreme cases, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate enrollment
  • Parents/guardians are expected to support our behavior management approach

7. Safeguarding

  • We have a legal duty to safeguard all children in our care
  • We will follow statutory safeguarding procedures if concerns arise
  • All staff are trained in safeguarding and have DBS checks
  • We may need to share information with relevant authorities when required

8. Photographs and Media

  • Photographs may be taken for learning records and display within the nursery
  • Written consent is required for use in marketing materials or external publications
  • You can withdraw consent for photographs at any time
  • We do not allow parents to photograph other children without permission

9. Complaints and Concerns

  • We encourage open communication and welcome feedback
  • Complaints should be raised with the Nursery Manager in the first instance
  • If unresolved, complaints can be escalated to Ofsted
  • Our full complaints procedure is available on request

10. Withdrawal and Termination

  • One month's written notice is required to withdraw a child
  • Fees remain payable during the notice period
  • We reserve the right to terminate enrollment with immediate effect in cases of:
  • - Non-payment of fees
  • - Breach of these terms
  • - Behavior that poses a risk to staff or other children

11. Liability and Insurance

  • We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations
  • We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the nursery
  • We take all reasonable care but cannot guarantee absolute safety
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children's clothing and belongings are labeled

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated in writing. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
